MARTIAL ARTS SETS EARLY BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS

Young children learn best by following the actions and behaviors they see around them. Martial arts helps set a foundation of positive behavior expectations and our classes provide structure, focus, and great listening behaviors that develop your child’s overall behavior.

Our Elgin Kyuki-Do martial arts classes will improve your child’s listening abilities so they listen the first time. The program also provides physical group activities so they use that energy while focusing and improving coordination and body control.

At Elgin Kyuki-Do Martial Arts, we understand that parents want to nurture and support their young children and set them up for success.

To do that, kids ages 7 and up need a fun, educational and supportive environment to help them build character while growing at a rapid rate in all areas of development.

Whether they are learning a new skill or earning a new rank, they quickly discover that hard work, dedication, and discipline are the foundation of achievement in the martial arts and in life.

Welcome to
Kyuki-Do® Martial Arts of elgin

Hi! I’m Jeff Kim, owner of Kyuki-Do Martial Arts of Elgin. I started martial arts at the age of 3 from my father, Grand Master Ok Hyung Kim. My father is the founder of Kyuki-Do. He also established Kim’s Black Belt Academy here in Elgin in 1967.

Kyuki-Do is a living, growing martial art that continues to expand and change. In addition to the core elements of Tae Kwon Do, Judo, and Hapkido, Kyuki-Do also includes techniques from Jujitsu, Karate, boxing, wrestling, traditional weapons from Okinawa and the Philippines, and many other arts and styles. Because of its versatility, Kyuki-Do is a highly effective style for kids and adults who are seeking a strong form of self-defense and a rewarding journey into the martial arts.
